Established in 1984 by Virgil F. Reid, AAI, Old Dominion Insurance Agency, Inc. has grown to a full service insurance agency.
Currently serving the insurance needs of individuals, families, and business concerns in Staunton, Waynesboro, Stuarts Draft, Harrisonburg, Augusta County, Rockingham County and adjacent areas.
Our office includes a state-of-the-art computer system for record keeping. In addition, we have 24-hour/7-day customer service.

Virgil began his career in 1958 as a local agent working with Allstate. In 1981, he decided to advance his career by joining a local independent insurance agency in order to learn more about the insurance business and have more flexibility in offering solutions to his clients. In 1984, he formed Old Dominion Insurance Agency, Inc.
Virgil is a licensed agent for Property & Casualty, and Life an Health insurance products. He received his Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) designation in January of 1996.
He is a lifetime member of the Lions club and is a member of the Middle River Church of the Brethren.
A native of Augusta county, Virgil is married with four children and ten grandchildren. He enjoys singing and working on his 58 acre farm.

Joel began his insurance career in 1985 with Old Dominion Insurance Agency, Inc as a Property & Casualty and Life and Health insurance agent. In 1987, he became part owner of Old Dominion Insurance assisting with management functions as well as producing and servicing insurance clients.
Today, he is responsible for the day to day management of the agency, servicing his existing clients and offering insurance solutions to prospective clients.
He received his Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) designation in February of 1994.
He is a member of Christ United Methodist Church, founding member of the Blue Ridge Astronomers, board member of the Greater Verona Business Association, member of the Augusta County Homebuilders Association and previously the Personal Lines Committee Chairman for the SAFECO Agent Advisory Council.
Joel is married with two children. He enjoys playing with his six year old, amateur astronomy, reading, motorcycling, gardening and working in his shop during his spare time.

Becky began her insurance career in 1984 when her husband, Virgil, started Old Dominion Insurance Agency, Inc. Initially, she worked part time performing various clerical functions. As a result of our tremendous growth, in 1987, Becky became a full time licensed Customer Service Representative. In addition to her prior duties, she began taking on more service related duties to help assist our clients. In 1995, she received the Accredited Customer Service Representative designation for Personal Lines to better serve our clients. Currently, she is working on completing this designation for Commercial Lines. In addition to these duties, Becky is our office manager and handles accounting for the agency. Becky is licensed for Property & Casualty insurance.
She is a member of the Middle River Church of the Brethren. She enjoys gardening, sewing, and her ten grandchildren.

Wendy began her insurance career with Old Dominion Insurance Agency, Inc. in July of 2001. She is a Customer Service Representative and is licensed for Property & Casualty insurance. She is responsible for all areas of service regarding our customer's insurance needs. In Janurary of 2003, she received the Accredited Customer Service Representative designation for Personal Lines to better serve our clients. She will soon begin working on completing this designation for Commercial Lines as well.
Wendy is married with of two boys. She enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
